Weblog: mindthegap Looking at the increasing skills gap in major economical countries such as Australia, UK, USA, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand, the challenge facing companies who's growth and production are being held back, and the solutions available through immigration of foreign workers.
I will keep a watchful eye on the skills gap solutions offered by the governments of Australia, UK, USA, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand through the current immigration policies as well as sourcing solutions for industries and companies that are willing to look beyond their own shores for an answer.
Name: Tony Hayes Gender: Male Birthday: December 18, 1964 (Age: 43) Location: Riga, Latvia
About Me My name is Tony, I am 41 years old, living in a small eastern European country called Latvia.
I have been here for 5 years and come from Scotland.
I work in the recruitment industry providing foreign labour to companies in several countries.
We recruit Eastern European workers and also from Asia.
I am frequently traveling around from country to country sourcing and interviewing applicants for skilled and unskilled jobs abroad.
In my travels i have met some of the hardest working people who wish to have the opportunity to work abroad and better their lives through experience and also finacially. On the other side of the fence i have met many desperate employers who have been frustrated with the lack of skills available to them and who are unaware of the options available through immigrant workers, or more specifically how to find them and bring them in to their country to work.
Often this is due to lack of understanding of the immigration process, i hope that through this blog i may be able to show employers who are familiar with the above scenario that the solution is not difficult to grasp and that it is worth considering this route to alleviate their frustration.
